I LOVE ABSOL.

It’s difficult choosing a top favorite Poke’mon overall, so Absol is my favorite 3rd-Gen Poke’mon! Absol has always been a part of my team in the Hoenn region. As soon as I started playing Ruby, I KNEW I WANTED ONE. As soon as I got to Route 120, I’d go on a Absol-catching spree and grabbed all the Disaster Poke’mon I could get, possibly disrupting the ecosystem and making it seem like Absol was going extinct in the wild as I did so.

I mostly just wanted to get one of a Serious/Hardy nature because I’m damn picky like that. And I probably wanted a Shiny Absol too.

I taught my first Absol a Water-type, Fire-type, and Electric-type TM moves so he could be UNSTOPPABLE ~~and I know almost nothing about battle stategies at the time.~~

I used to name my Absol “Gill”, after the character of the same name in Finding Nemo. In fact, my whole team was named after Finding Nemo characters because I was still crazy-obsessed with that film as well, it took years for the obsession fade into casual appreciation, haha!

When I replayed Emerald, my Absol’s name changed into “Gillbertus” and I learned that Perish Song is one cheap way to win battles.

He’s pretty goofy looking and we don’t know very much about this little guy yet, but you can’t go wrong with reptiles and electricity! And he’s got a neat name too!

I may love Wartortle just as much as Blastoise, if not more! I just really adore their furry ears and long, angelic-furred tails! Looks rather out of place in the Squirtle family, but I don’t mind! I wish they didn’t lose them when they evolve.

I wasn’t not TOO sure if I like Exploud or not since there really isn’t anything I dislike in them. Then I thought about those holes and tubes they have for making noises and how flippin’ surreal they’d look if Poke’mon were real! They’re basically giant, living, breathing walking boomboxes! I like that!

I never had one in my team though, but maybe my Sapphire Nuzlocke Challenge will change that!

I love Dragonite! I love them since the episode Mystery at the Lighthouse, even though they only appeared as a gigantic silhouette singing a ~~forever alone~~ romantic whale song, but I love the music and I love big Poke’mon!

I also had one in FireRed named Ducalion, I think I’ll draw him sometime.

Hello. My name is Neoma Lindley, and I live with a condition called ‘pseudo-tumor cerebri’, a form of IIH (idiopathic inter-cranial hypertension). This condition causes severe migraines, vision problems, and at times leaves me in such pain that I can’t function.

Treatment for this condition is a lumbar puncture and tap, to remove excess cerebral-spinal fluid. However, this procedure is expensive, and since my mother’s death last April, I have not been able to afford a tap, meaning my inter-cranial pressure is very high, and I am struggling to function.

With out treatment, I am experiencing radical and continual vision loss. I am in near-constant pain. I really need help.

I need this tap, and I need it as soon as possible, but without aid there is no way way for me to get it. Every little bit helps, you have no idea — if four thousand people can spare a single dollar to me, I’ll be in the clear for this procedure.

My tablet that I’ve owned for about 6-7 years finally died… It does not sense a pen on the upper half of the device, and that leaves me stuck on digital art for a while. A replacement tablet is gonna be pretty expensive, and I am thinking of trying to do some traditional commissions in order to take a small dent out of how much it will cost to replace this tablet.

I will be able to do whatever you’d like traditionally, I usually work in pen or marker though. AND, If you’d like, once i feel i can afford a new tablet, I will make you a polished, digital work out of any sketch I made for you!

I am opening commissions to try and raise money to help someone very dear to me who is suffering from IIH (idiopathic inter-cranial hypertension). She is in desperate need of a spinal tap in order to relieve the symptoms, and without it she is suffering lose of vision, is in constant pain from migraines, and could possibly lose her vision all together if it continues to go untreated.

When Commissioning:

The only rule I have at the moment, when it comes to requesting a commission, is that I do not do R rated work.

(If I don’t answer within 24 hours, and there is no post on the blog that stats I will be away for a few days, please send it again, because it’s likely Tumblr ate it.) Digital Art Issues

Depressing sketch from last night, just wanted to draw big ol’ tears.

Ranting ahead, it’s pretty long…

One of the reasons I haven’t been talking and posting art very much is because I’m having a lot of technical issues with my laptop. For the last few months, it’s been freezing often, though nothing serious at first. But for a week or so, it’s been making a lot of scraping noises, often loud for the most part, and been having freezing more frequently now. I’m guessing this is because the fan is dusty and needs to be cleaned out, but I don’t when I’ll be able to get the laptop checked out.

The freezing has proved to be pretty malicious as far as affecting certain artwork I’ve been trying to on in GIMP. Last Sunday, an art trade I was ALMOST finished with was the first victim. My laptop froze while I was working on it and I had to restart it. Opened up GIMP, but I got a message saying “GIMP XCF image plug-In could not open image,” so I lost HOURS of progress on that trade. Definitely ruined my day.

Tried again, from flat colors on the character to painting the background, saved the file, and closed out of GIMP before the laptop could freeze. When it did just that, I restart the computer, open up GIMP … but I get the same message. Corrupted file, basically. Ruined my day again.

Just today, I was working on a personal illustration in GIMP, and made sure I even saved .psd file copy as a back-up attempt. Closed out of GIMP, laptop freezes, restart it, open up GIMP… this time it specifically says the .xcf file is corrupted. I check the .psd file, but that too got corrupted.

Good Lord.

So yeah, I’ve been really angry with this piece-of-crap machine and it’s damaging my drive for working on art. I’m pretty much forced into completing digital art as quickly as I can so I can flatten the images. Two commissions I’ve finished last week weren’t affected by this issue, thank goodness, but I’m still afraid of working on this computer with the condition it’s in. The operation system is outdated (Windows Vista, eww), and CD drive is busted, so I can’t fix any issues with a disc if it requires it.

I’m really hoping I can get this thing fixed as soon as possible; I’m pretty much struggling to back up all of my files. I’m low on money to spend and I’m really tempted to take commissions to earn enough to afford a new laptop or something, though that take a while if this laptop continues to corrupt layered files or if I don’t get a temporary computer to work on in the meantime.

God, I’m so upset. Sorry to waste your time on this.

And no, this is not an April Fool’s joke. I should’ve probably wait ‘til the day is over and done with, but I’m gonna post it up anyway. And if this freezing business is this laptop’s idea of a joke, I’m not laughing. Really. :I

I’m feeling a little better, just art and life woes again. But I’m picking myself up again and getting stuff done at least. I’m sorry I hardly reply to you guys, I haven’t been in the mood to talk lately, but hope to get over it and get back to socializing a bit more.
